NW Metalworx Music

Brand new Import LP from NWOBHM band XERO - ABSOLUTE XERO - from Cult Metal Classics from 2026. New mint copies in a resealable plastic sleeve.

BIO: A lost gem from the golden age of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal finally gets the release it deserves. Formed in London at the turn of the ’80s, XERO delivered a powerful blend of hard rock and heavy metal packed with raw energy, memorable hooks and that unmistakable early NWOBHM atmosphere. The band built a strong reputation on the London live circuit, recorded a session for the legendary "Friday Rock Show", appeared on the classic "Brute Force" and "Metal for Muthas Vol. II" compilations, and released the highly collectible "Oh Baby" EP in 1983. Yet much of their recorded legacy remained scattered or unreleased for decades.

Now, those essential recordings are finally brought together in one definitive collection, including the sought-after early material and later tracks from the mid-’80s. We got in contact with the band through the legendary Swedish guitarist and music historian Janne Stark, who not only made the connection possible but also handled the layout design - ensuring this release sounds and looks better than ever. Essential listening for fans of obscure NWOBHM, underground British metal and classic ’80s heavy rock. Grab the CD or Vinyl and discover a band that deserved to be much bigger.
